Artist’s Statement

A great painting forms when I am on the cusp of being out of control. I would say I allow, not create, art.

Striving to create from this place is the only way I have found to reflect strong enough tension and emotion. My goal is for the color and design to appeal to the viewers before they identify the subject. I feel this leaves room for the viewers to see themselves in the creation and then arrive at a conclusion.

My hope is that collectors will continue to see new things in the art as a result of themselves and their life experiences.
